Which fit is right for me?
Frequently asked questions about size and fit
What is the difference between slim fit and loose fit?
The slim fit cut only tapers towards the ankle. With the loose fit, there is more room in the hips and legs. The cut at the waist is identical. The waistband gives you up to 20 cm of leeway without pinching.
How do I find the right size?
First, measure your waist and hip circumference and compare both with our size chart (see product description). At the waist, you should be within the specified range. If you still have 2 cm or more of room at the hips, the size is a good fit. Otherwise, opt for the larger size.
Do I wear the same size in trousers as I do in your tops?
Not necessarily. For trousers, the waist and hip measurements are the most important. Please therefore choose your size using the size chart for trousers.
Will these trousers fit me if I have wider thighs?
That depends on your measurements and the chosen cut. The loose fit offers more room in the leg. If you would like the slim fit, additionally compare the thigh circumference in the size chart (see product description) or ask us before ordering.
I have either short or very long legs. Which length should I choose?
You can choose between "short" and "classic." It is best to measure the outer leg length (see graphic D) of a pair of trousers you like the fit of, and compare it with the measurements in the size chart. You can find it in the product photos. If you are unsure, we recommend buying them a little too long, as we can still shorten the trousers for you if necessary. If you need a longer length, please feel free to contact us about a custom length.
Is the pants gender-neutral?
Yes. The deciding factors for your choice are your measurements and the fit that you feel comfortable in.
Frequently Asked Questions about Fabrics and Comfort
Are the trouser fabrics elastic?
This varies depending on the fabric. Our corduroy fabrics are slightly elastic, but they retain their structure even after prolonged wear. Poplin is a non-elastic fabric that drapes very elegantly.
What is poplin?
Poplin is a smooth, woven fabric. It looks elegant, feels lightweight, and yet protects against wind and weather.
What is the difference between fine-wale corduroy and wide-wale corduroy?
You can recognize both fabrics by their ribbed structure. With fine corduroy, the ribs are narrow and delicate; with wide-wale corduroy, they are wider and more clearly visible.
Is these trousers suitable for sensory-sensitive people?
During processing, we ensure that there are no bothersome open seams on the inside. Furthermore, the care label is positioned so that it does not cause irritation and can be easily removed. The natural rubber waistband in particular is adjustable in height by folding it over, and its elasticity is perfect for those who dislike any feeling of pressure in the abdominal area. If you wish to avoid specific sensations, pressure points, or materials, please write to us before placing your order. We will help you assess the most suitable option.
For which season are these trousers suitable?
That depends on the fabric and your personal sensitivity to cold. Poplin is the lighter choice; corduroy offers a warmer feel. Generally, fine corduroy and poplin are suitable for year-round wear. Wide-wale corduroy, however, is better suited for cold to mild days.
Frequently Asked Questions about options and ordering
Can I choose a cuffed ankle?
For the slim fit, you can order with or without cuffs at the ankle. This choice costs nothing extra. You can see which options are available for other trouser styles directly on their product page.
Which reinforcements can I choose?
You can add knee protection and/or reinforcement to the inner thighs. Choose the option that best suits the areas where your trousers experience the most wear and tear in everyday use. You can see the available extras and their prices for each pair of trousers.
How is my pair of trousers made?
We manufacture our trousers in Berlin and only after you have placed your order.
How long will it take for my trousers to arrive?
The current delivery time is stated directly on the product page. Please check it before placing your order, especially if you need your trousers by a specific date. Feel free to send us an email if you urgently need your trousers in advance.
What do I do if the trousers don't fit?
Get in touch with us so we can look into the cause together and find a possible solution. You are, of course, welcome to exchange or return the trousers. However, we would also be happy to shorten them for you or adjust the waistband at the hips.
Can I have my trousers repaired later?
If something breaks or a high-stress area wears out, write to us and include a photo. The trousers are designed to be easily repaired. For example, worn-out knee protection can be replaced. We will always find a solution! Depending on how long you have worn them, we may charge a small fee for this.
