Adorable bedtime stories for ages 2 and up about diverse evening routines and family structures – for getting to know each other, finding each other again, and feeling good.

Evening rituals in families can be as diverse as the families themselves. Every family and every child has a unique way of ending the day and falling asleep. In this book, young readers learn about five family models from different cultures and can discover which bedtime ritual or sleeping situation is closest to theirs. How are other children put to bed? Who joins them in the evenings: younger or older siblings, one parent or two? Is television allowed? What's for dinner? And which sleep aid is important for each child – a prayer, a stuffed animal, a story, or a song?

Many children find themselves here! And it becomes quite clear what all families have in common: security, love, and care.

"Our dream is that every child, regardless of skin color, religion, family constellation, body type, preferences, desires, and dreams, recognizes themselves and finds positive images in which they can reflect themselves." (Olaolu Fajembola and Tebogo Nimindé-Dundadengar)

FAQ

How do I properly care for cotton clothing?

We recommend washing the octopus sweater inside out at 30 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 800 rpm in a washing machine or by hand. It should not be tumble dried. After drying, the sweater can be ironed on a medium heat setting.

Where do your materials come from?

Our kids' sweaters: Our kids' sweaters are mostly made from secondhand, leftover, and surplus fabrics. We want to use what's already available in the world as much as possible. Of course, we pay attention to quality when purchasing the fabrics.

Newly purchased fabrics: The fabrics we purchase are manufactured exclusively in Europe, are made of 100% cotton (organic) and are subject to the highest ecological and social standards.

Where do you make your clothes?

Our clothing is manufactured exclusively locally in Berlin or in partner workshops in Germany. Through our work, we raise awareness for local sewing crafts and contribute to preserving the craft.

Can I pick up my order locally?

Sure! Our workshop is located in Berlin Kreuzberg. You can simply choose the "local pickup" option later during checkout, saving you the shipping costs.
